Twentieth-Century and Contemporary Master Drawings

Celebrating Master Drawings New York,
Forum Gallery announces a special exhibition of works on paper on view at the gallery from Thursday,
January 29 through Saturday, February 7, 2026.

Forum Gallery's Gallery’s presentation includes important works selected for the historic significance of their subject or the unique graphic technique utilized by the fourteen renowned Twentieth-Century and Contemporary artists on view.  Included are works by Francis Bacon, Robert Bauer, Oscar Bluemner, Willem de Kooning, Alan Magee, G. Daniel Massad, Anthony Mitri, Guillermo Muñoz VeraClio NewtonBen ShahnRaphael Soyer, Joseph Stella, Maria  Tomasula, and Max Weber.

Master Drawings New York, now in its 20th year, is a one week-long event when international exhibitors on New York’s Upper East Side present exceptional works on paper from all periods.  In partnership with Master Drawings New York, scholarly events and thematic exhibition of works on paper will take place at institutions including The Met, The Morgan Library & Museum, The Frick Collection, Bard Graduate Center Gallery, Cooper Hewitt, Princeton University Art Museum, and The Society for the History of Collecting.  In addition, The Winter Show, currently open to the public at the Park Avenue Armory, hosts a panel discussion, Lines of a Nation: Early American Drawings and Their Legacy, on January 30th.
